Nigel Venters is well known to butterfly enthusiasts world-wide as an expert on butterflies and butterfly breeding. His extensive knowledge of the subject comes from many years of observing and breeding butterflies and moths. While living in Africa he discovered two new species, which now bear his and his daughter's names.

In 2000 Nigel was asked by the International Butterfly Breeders Association (IBBA) to produce a video that would clearly demonstrate how to hand-pair butterflies. This computer CD-ROM contains three versions of the hand-pairing video, in MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and RealPlayer formats.
